The Birdtribe descended from the stars on a mission to infect the population with a love and appreciation for nature not yet seen in the masses. They started their mission in far North Queensland, where a girl called Nina caught screen-printing fever and started printing up a storm… She printed animals and plants which were special and part of her favourite place and home, the North Queensland rainforest. She wanted people to see the wonder and beauty of nature through the delicate web of the Golden Orb spider, the intensity of the blooming red flame tree in the rainforest, a giant Hercules Moth, the extravagant performance of a Lionfish on the reef or the intricacies of a skeleton leaf on the forest floor… She wanted people to learn to appreciate all of the creatures and plants that make this planet special so we will protect them for our future…

So she started printing on Australian made, 100% cotton T-shirts and handmade clothing. She wanted to make sure that no one was exploited through her mission so she made sure she sourced her materials locally and ethically…

All Birdtribe Wearable Art is made in Australia and hand-printed in the rainforest of far North Queensland, Australia. I only use natural fibre fabrics including cotton and linen and use water-based screen-printing inks to be kind to my environment.  I design, make the screens and screen-print by hand all the clothing myself with love...  All pieces are one off's... Enjoy your Birdtribe Wearable Art and style up!!!
